Krdemet-SR 25 Uses Krdemet-SR 25 is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), and to prevent heart attacks. It is also given after a heart attack to improve survival and reduce the risk of further cardiac events.

How Krdemet-SR 25 works Krdemet-SR 25 contains Metoprolol Succinate (Extended Release), a selective beta-1 blocker. It works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals (adrenaline) on the heart and blood vessels. This slows down the heart rate, reduces the workload on the heart, lowers blood pressure, and decreases oxygen demand of the heart, thereby controlling chest pain and protecting the heart.
