Finxime-200 LB Uses Finxime-200 LB is used in the treatment of bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, ear infections (otitis media), throat infections (tonsillitis/pharyngitis), respiratory tract infections (bronchitis), typhoid fever, and uncomplicated gonorrhea caused by susceptible bacteria. The added probiotic helps prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.

How Finxime-200 LB works Finxime-200 LB is a combination of Cefixime and Lactic Acid Bacillus (LB). Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for their survival. Lactic Acid Bacillus are live beneficial bacteria (probiotic) that restore the balance of good bacteria in the intestine disrupted by the antibiotic, thereby reducing the risk of diarrhoea.
