How Egazin-M works Egazin-M is a combination medicine. Empagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor. It blocks the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys and removes excess sugar through urine. Metformin Hydrochloride decreases glucose production in the liver, reduces intestinal absorption of sugar, and improves insulin sensitivity. Together they effectively lower blood sugar levels.
