Finxime-O Uses Finxime-O is used in the treatment of serious and mixed bacterial infections such as typhoid fever, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gynecological infections, intra-abdominal infections, and infections resistant to other antibiotics.

How Finxime-O works Finxime-O is a combination of two antibiotics. Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin that works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for bacterial survival. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by preventing DNA replication and repair. Together, they kill a wide range of bacteria more effectively than either medicine alone.
