Krdemet-SR 50 Uses Krdemet-SR 50 is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), prevention of heart attacks, and to reduce the risk of death after a heart attack. It is also used in the management of heart failure and migraine prevention.

How Krdemet-SR 50 works Krdemet-SR 50 contains Metoprolol Succinate (Extended Release), a selective beta-1 blocker. It works by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels. This reduces heart rate, decreases the force of heart contractions, lowers blood pressure, reduces oxygen demand of the heart, and improves heart function, thereby controlling chest pain and protecting the heart.
