Paizole I.V. is used in the treatment of severe acidity, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, erosive esophagitis, and prevention of stress ulcers in critically ill patients when oral therapy is not feasible.

How Paizole I.V. Works

Paizole I.V. is a proton pump inhibitor. It reduces stomach acid production by irreversibly blocking the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) in the gastric parietal cells.
