Ferivolt-FCM Inj. Uses Ferivolt-FCM Inj. is used in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adults and children above 1 year when oral iron preparations are ineffective, not tolerated, or rapid iron delivery is needed. It is commonly used in chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, pregnancy, heavy uterine bleeding, and post-surgical anemia.
How Ferivolt-FCM Inj. works Ferivolt-FCM Inj. contains Ferric Carboxymaltose, a latest-generation intravenous iron complex. It works by quickly replenishing body iron stores. The iron is released slowly and transported to the bone marrow where it is incorporated into hemoglobin, thereby increasing red blood cell production and correcting anemia effectively.
Common Nausea, Flushing, High or low blood pressure, Dizziness, Headache, Taste disturbance, Injection site pain or irritation, Muscle cramps, Increased liver enzymes, Low blood phosphate levels (rare)
