Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective cell wall. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects ceftriaxone from destruction by bacterial enzymes, making it effective even against resistant bacteria.
